Located in central North Carolina is the town of Apex. Known for its town motto, “The Peak of Good Living,” Apex has a prime location and family charm that have rightfully earned it this moniker. The town is a short drive from major cities such as Raleigh and Chapel Hill, creating a perfect work-life balance. Apex is the ideal place to retreat home to and hang out on the weekends.  
Apex got its name by being the highest point on the old railroad. The town was primarily used for transportation until the late 19th century when a small community settled down around the station. As trading continued, access to transportation drew people to Apex, who modernized it. In 2015, Apex was listed No. 1 on the Best Place to Live list.  
The town is quickly growing, and the real estate market is booming. However, the cost of a home in Apex is still affordable. The average price of a single-family home in Apex is around $300,000. If you want the best of both worlds, head to Mission Market for shopping and dining, where you can find a special gift or a midday latte. The Scratch Kitchen and Taproom is a downtown favorite. All dishes are made from scratch, ensuring a homey meal, and the extensive menu is guaranteed to satisfy everyone.

There is always something to do in Apex. Residents sure know how to throw a good party for all ages, and they’re committed to maintaining the town's history, charm, and family-oriented atmosphere.
The Apex Music Festival is no exception to the town's fun. This annual event hosts and celebrates local musicians and features delicious food vendors, drinks, and performances. Another annual event in the town is the Apex PeakFest, which celebrates Apex’s with numerous vendors and activities. 
Apex may be growing, but the area still maintains its small-town charm and nature. There are many parks to visit when you’re looking to explore the outdoors. Throughout the various parks, you’ll find amenities such as sports fields, disc golf courses, a separate dog park, a sand volleyball court, ponds, and several walking trails.
