Peterson Station Is Turning the Sunset Lake Corner Into an All-Day Stop

Three businesses on one curving street at Peterson Station are set up to cover a full day, from a morning espresso to a glass of wine after dinner. The Perch pours coffee over board games at 1125 McChesney Hill Loop. Limra Mediterranean Restaurant carves dƶner at 3109. Libations Bottle & Bev Co. is the bottle shop and taproom at 3101, eight numbers down the loop.

All three are places to settle in, not to run an errand. Each is set up for staying, with game tables, a carving spit and a patio. That makes the corner of Sunset Lake Road and Stephenson Road on the Holly Springs and Apex border something it hasn't been before, a spot built to fill a morning, a dinner and the hours after.

One Loop, Three Parts of the Day

When Where Address What's on offer
Morning into afternoon The Perch 1125 McChesney Hill Loop Cat & Cloud coffee, espresso, bakery items, toast, salads, sandwiches, card and board games
Lunch and dinner Limra Mediterranean Restaurant 3109 McChesney Hill Loop 100% halal dƶner, tantuni, İskender, falafel, kabobs, bowls
Evening Libations Bottle & Bev Co. 3101 McChesney Hill Loop 19 rotating craft taps, a Prosecco tap, wine by the glass, cooler cans and bottles, nonalcoholic options

Each of these businesses gives you a reason to stay put for a while.

The Perch Built Its Room Around Putting the Phone Down

The Perch is a specialty coffee bar and tabletop gaming lounge. Founder Jacob Williams and his team designed it around an idea they call "intentional presence," according to Triangle Food Blog, which picked up the story from a Midtown Magazine feature in August 2026. The goal is a comfortable room where people set aside the usual distractions and spend time together.

On the practical side, the coffee comes from Cat & Cloud, a roaster based in California. You'll find traditional coffee and espresso drinks, a cold case, and food solid enough to cover lunch: bakery items, toast, salads, sandwiches and snacks. The game shelf holds a big collection of card and board games.

The board games are the reason this place matters for the corner. A coffee shop that expects you to stay through a round of something is the first sign that Peterson Station's retail is built for long visits. Hours and the community calendar are on The Perch's website.

Limra Grew Out of a Food Truck Line

WRAL reported on October 9, 2026 that Limra Mediterranean Restaurant was open at Peterson Station. The menu is 100% halal: flame-grilled kabobs, wraps, bowls, platters and salads.

Chefs Can and Elif Engin run the restaurant, and they bring fifteen years of professional kitchens between them. Limra's own site says it started as a food truck "whose line kept growing until it needed a room." The site also explains the name. It comes from Limyra, an ancient city on the Mediterranean coast, and the restaurant describes the space like this:

"honest ingredients, open fire, and a room made for lingering."

That line fits the whole corner. The menu leans on dishes from the spit: beef and chicken dƶner carved all day, tantuni, İskender and falafel, plus bowls built to order. The Limra Platter sits on the menu under the restaurant's own name. You can order online through the restaurant's site if you'd rather eat at home.

Libations Fills the Evening at 3101

Libations Bottle & Bev Co. is the piece that keeps the loop going after dinner. Its own site set an early-November opening target near the Holly Springs and Apex border at Sunset Lake Road and Stephenson Road. Opening-week news goes out through the First Pour List at libationsbevco.com.

Suburban Living's Holly Springs edition described the setup on October 20, 2026:

  • 19 rotating craft beer taps, plus one tap just for Prosecco
  • Wine by the glass
  • Six cooler doors of craft cans, wine, cider, seltzers and nonalcoholic options, for drinking there or taking home
  • Custom pairings, recommendations and mixed packs from the owners
  • Bar seating, interior group tables and an outdoor patio

The group tables and patio matter here. A bottle shop on its own is a quick stop. One with a patio eight address numbers from a kabob spit gives dinner somewhere to go next.

The Building Was Drawn for This Years Ago

Peterson Station was approved by the Town of Holly Springs on June 20, 2017, as vertical mixed use, meaning commercial space on the ground floor and apartments above. Longtime landowner Jeff Peterson started working on the site's vision in 2014. Dominion Realty Partners joined in 2020 to co-develop the 19-acre project, which includes 316 apartments over roughly 43,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, with Peterson Properties, LLC owning and managing the retail.

That layout explains the kind of tenants arriving. When the retail sits under hundreds of homes, a coffee shop with a game shelf and a taproom with group tables have neighbors right upstairs and a reason to plan for long visits.

Beyond the three spots above, the development's own retail roster lists:

  • Doherty's Irish Pub
  • Burger Love
  • Jack The Dipper
  • Betty and Jane
  • Jetset Modern Pilates
  • Aura Nail Salon
  • Evolutions

So a pub, a burger spot and Jack The Dipper sit on the same roster as the three businesses above, along with a Pilates studio, a nail salon and salon studios. A Pilates class, a coffee, then dinner can all happen without moving the car.

One detail for anyone giving directions: Libations lists its address as 3101 McChesney Hill Loop, Apex, NC 27539, while WRAL places Peterson Station in Holly Springs. The mailing address says Apex. The town line says Holly Springs. If a guest's GPS heads them toward Apex, they're probably still on the right track.

The Rest of Town Is Adding Pieces One at a Time

Holly Springs has other new names this fall, but they're spread across separate shopping centers rather than stacked on one street.

Malli, billed as Indian Reimagined, was announced for this fall at 131 Oakview Commons Drive. FSR Magazine reports it was founded by three Triangle-area residents, and WRAL names them as Arunkumar Vijayakumar, Rajesh Arumugam and Bharath Pepaala. The concept is contemporary Indian dining.

Over on Bass Lake Road, Lil' Ricci's NY Pizza and Pasta announced a November 2026 opening at 124 Bass Lake Road, Unit C. That's the former Bass Lake Draft House space, which The News & Observer reported served its last day on May 11 after 23 years. Lil' Ricci's lists hand-tossed New York-style pizza, pasta, hot heroes and salads. Triangle Food Blog calls it the brand's first North Carolina location, after two in Colorado.

Downtown, Foxtail Coffee plans a third shop at Main Street Vista, on the corner of Holly Springs Road and North Main Street, according to Suburban Living. Its first two locations are in Apex.

Each of these is one new spot in an existing center. Peterson Station is the one place in this fall's round of new arrivals where coffee, dinner and a taproom share the same loop. That adds a new north-side stop to the calendar we've been following through Holly Springs' 150th year. More local guides are on the Holly Springs neighborhood page.

If you've already claimed a game table at The Perch or found your Limra order, I'd love to hear about it. And if friends are moving to town and asking where to meet up on the north side, I've got your back with directions to McChesney Hill Loop and a few favorite stops.
