Tina and Stanley Rimmer have been married for over three decades and share a passion for flowers, herbs, and all things gardening. For Tina it is a love that was first cultivated by her mother Betty Jean. Betty Jean passed away in 2016 and Tina, who retired after 32 years at the SAS Institute working as an Administrative Assistant and a Montessori teacher, wished to do something to honor her beloved mother’s memory. She came up with the perfect idea that would also allow her to work alongside her husband doing something that they both enjoy. On Valentine’s Day 2019, Betty Jean’s Flower Truck was born.

Betty Jean’s Flower Truck is an iconic green 1966 vintage Ford F100 and Tina and Stanley’s means of spreading kindness and their love of flowers to our community. While Stanley handles behind-the-scenes details and maintenance on the classic truck, Tina creates beautiful floral arrangements that are at the same time both whimsical and elegant. Tina understands that flowers can speak in ways that words sometimes cannot and are ideal whether you want to celebrate a happy occasion, give a thoughtful gesture in a moment of grief, offer a sweet reminder of friendship, or make a bold declaration of love. Each one of her unique designs is made with the utmost care and many of the seasonal flowers are gathered from Tina and Stanley’s own garden. Tina loves to add a signature touch to her bouquets by including fresh herbs like mint, rosemary, thyme, lavender, and lemon verbena. Betty Jean’s Flower Truck also offers charming little houseplants, organic lavender sachets and sage sticks, and as much gardening and flower-care talk as you would like with the truck’s match-made-in-heaven owners. Made-to-order arrangements and posies are available for weddings, showers, corporate events, family photo sessions, and other special occasions.

Betty Jean’s Flower Truck collaborates with other Holly Springs small businesses by taking part in Vintage Farm Days, hosting online giveaways, and locally sourcing as many of their botanicals as possible. They also spread joy to our elderly neighbors by donating fresh florals to seniors at Dorothy Nixon Allen Manor.
